Daniel Guillery

I am currently LSE Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Logic & Scientific Method at the London School of Economics.
I teach and research in moral and political philosophy.
Currently, I am thinking about moral claims concerning the use of land and space and their implications for debates in policy and practice. I am interested in the justification of exclusive claims over land (as property or territory) but also, and especially, moral considerations relevant to the use of land at an intermediate level, that of the local area or neighbourhood. I have also been interested in various other topics in political philosophy including culture, state legitimacy, feasibility, and anarchism.
Previously, I have worked in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, the University of Chicago Law School, and the philosophy and EISPS departments at University College London.
I completed my PhD in political philosophy also at UCL.
