Daniel Guillery

I am currently LSE Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Logic & Scientific Method at the London School of Economics.

Previously, I was a teaching follow in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, Law and Philosophy Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School, and before that a teaching fellow in the philosophy and EISPS departments at University College London.

I completed my PhD in political philosophy at UCL.

My research interests are in the areas of moral and political philosophy. Currently, I am thinking about moral claims with regard to land and space and the justification of the exclusive rights states claim over their territories. I am also interested generally in the ways in which considerations of feasibility interact with moral justifications for the state's use of force. Areas of interest more broadly include culture, state legitimacy, political obligation, property rights and anarchism.
